BACKGROUND

With vast experience from a carrier’s viewpoint, and a strong understanding of what vendors, infrastructure providers, consultants and subcontractors are challenged with, RJM can prove to be a very valuable resource. We may not be the largest engineering firm on the block, but in-depth knowledge and a wide breadth of experience makes RJM one of the most effective.

RJM continues to grow and develop its staff and resources. With a background in many facets of wireless communications, RJM personnel are able to excel in each service area. By building on the experience of our management and coupling that with our growing staff, RJM is able to provide the capability, focus and versatility to address the needs in any project or network stage.

RJM’s president and founder, Robert Monfredi, has held several positions within the Wireless/Cellular industry in the engineering and operations area within the past 24 years. He has developed and managed various groups in different technical disciplines.  He spent 9 years with McCaw Communications in the Northeast Region holding various positions within the engineering and operations department. After that role he was with BellSouth Mobility as the Director of Engineering in Atlanta.  Also, he managed Aerial Communications’ build-out and technical operations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Columbus, Ohio as the Director of Engineering and Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and began his wireless career as an RF engineer with Compucon Inc. in Richardson, Texas. He has held similar RF positions with MCI Airsignal and Ericsson Radio Systems. Integrating this background with that of RJM’s staff and resources makes RJM an effective engineering services provider.

RJM’s experience in current projects, and that gained from previous roles, encompasses many states throughout the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. Particular expertise encompasses all of RJM’s services, including our “core” services involving our RF Engineering support. As part of a wide variety of markets and functions, specific previous experiences include designs for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, implementation of microcell service for the airport terminal in Pittsburgh and several coverage schemes for Pittsburgh’s tunnels.
